Family
Therapy
I imagine you are here to either: be proactive and preventative while maintaining harmony within your family, seek to iron out a few mishaps/misunderstandings and frustrations, or you are at your wits end with your conflicting family member/s; either way, you're in the right place. I've been helping families understand their turbulent or high conflict dynamics, while improving familial relationships for over 15 years. Family therapy may consist of any configuration of members involved:
(i.e.)
*parent (caregiver) + child/teen
*parent (caregiver) + adult-child
*parents (caregivers) + children
*adult siblings
*grandparent/s + grandkid/s
*caregiver/s + foster child/ren
*blended families
Etc.

We will work together on cultivating and/or restoring healthy relationships - whether you live together or not (however, all members must reside in California - under licensing law) . Family therapy entails: each member's voice being heard, learning and practicing verbal expression of thoughts/feelings in a safe environment, reenacting scenarios, role playing new and healthier ways to relate to one another, active listening, empathizing, and suggested exercises to practice out of session time if necessary.
Family therapy is for an hour and a half, as the time goes by quickly if all are participating. Your child/children must be able to sit for talk therapy.
Please note: my office is not set up as kid-friendly (no toys/art supplies).
